What's different about today's revolutionary Postmodern Left when compared to the French revolution is the vast network of institutions across society they control.
The movement isn't 'controlled' directly, rather it's self-organizing in what are best described as cells. Their intellectual leadership comes from a broad array of 'scholars' who specialize in their fetishized victims.
The activists come and go. The politicians rarely break out cuz they are too crazy. Obama succeeded by lying about all of his radical views, and was socially white, having been raised by white people in large part. But none of the rest seem to be able to plausibly pull this off.
They do love to make 'celebrities' of their journalists and politicians and activists though, have you noticed? They rely on a mob, not any one person.
Do you have any idea who comes up with and disseminates the daily talking points/buzzwords that we hear repeated ad nauseum on ABC/CBS/CNN/MSDNC/NBC/NPR and even The View (should be called The Clueless)?
You think there is central control of all this and that's why the Right continues to lose, even while it's 'winning'. They are SELF-ORGANIZING due to the subversion and brainwashing they receive starting in 'grade school'.
They are not following orders. The Democrat party does publish talking points for congress (senate and house). Various strategists and issues activists distribute memos with talking points. But it's not command and control nor linear.

Agree and also am shocked how many don’t understand or don’t want to understand the relationship between Weimar and the response/rise of the hard right. Many celebrate Weimar as an attempt at democracy and freedom and art when it was a time of societal degradation, violence, destruction of the family unit…People only want to know about Weimar’s economic problems and its failure to fight National SOCIALISM while it was, in fact, the cause of the rise of Nazism.
When a child gets his way by throwing a tantrum, he learns that, and the tantrum becomes a tool in his arsenal. Let him grow up with no adult supervision to convince him that tantrums are wrong, by painful methods if needed, only delays the need for painful lessons to later in life.
Todays Postmodern Left are people like the AOC, and wall-eyed Crockett, people who come from pretty affluent backgrounds where I'm sure no one ever spanked them for being bad.
So it's time for us to spank them. If New York wants a commie radical muslim, let them. Cut off every bit of federal aid as an inducement to reenter the fold. Let Schumer and Ocasio-Cortez handle the complaints.
The same goes for California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and any other state that believes the law is only for us suckers and they can do what they please.
